In northern Australia at the beginning of World War II, an English aristocrat inherits a cattle station the size of Maryland. When English cattle barons plot to take their land, who reluctantly joins forces with a rough-hewn man inventory to drive 2000 head of cattle across hundreds of miles of the most unforgiving land, only to face yet bombing of Darwin, Australia, by Japanese forces that had attacked Pearl Harbor only months earlier.
In 1939, the aristocratic Lady Sarah Ashley traveling from Britain to Australia to join her husband Ashley Maitland in northern Australia.
