The seventeen-year-old Kim is the pride and joy of his father, the retired agent Bryan Mills, who left the Secret Service to stay close to Kim in California. Kim lives with her mother and wealthy stepfather Lenore Stuart, who convinces Bryan reluctant to sign an authorization to travel to Paris with her friend Amanda. When they arrive, they share a cabin with a stranger and Amanda tells Peter that he is alone in Paris. When Bryan manages to contact his daughter, said she just criminals break into the place and Albanese are abducted by a gang of human trafficking. Bryan promises on the phone to kill the kidnapper of her daughter and immediately traveled to Paris to find Kim and prosecute criminals.
